Gratitude

Author: Kimberly N. Powell, DDS, MS, FAGD

What are you thankful for? There is a laundry list of things that could come to mind, could be relationships, careers, possessions, health. Sometimes we overlook things like seeing a beautiful blue and pink sky or your loved one’s face, hearing the sound of raindrops on a window or a horn alarming you to danger, waking with a sound mind. To others like the blind or person with limited vision, the hearing impaired, the bereaved, what is considered common is to be cherished. And sometimes we forget to be thankful for things that we don’t have, the bad things that almost happened but did not. Showing gratitude elevates our lives and focuses our attention and time on the things that truly matter. Let’s do more of that.
